MCPX brushless converter

This is our version of the converter needed to connect your MCPX main board to your ESC when you change your stock MCPX motor to a brushless one. Our converter actually includes two high speed channels (in case you also want to fit a brushless tail motor) and is configurable to accommodate different installation options, although note that currently it has only been tested in a MCPX with an XP-7A ESC and a C05M main motor. As such, by default the converters will come with wiring for single channel only. If you would like the wires for the second channel to be included for your own development then please make this clear when you pay (via Paypal instructions to merchant).

The converter allows connection to the microcontroller outputs (soldering to very small solder pads) or to the existing motor connector (for the main motor). Connection to the microcontroller outputs provides the best throttle 'granularity' but this requires very precise soldering skills. Using the existing connector for the main motor is much simpler and our converter still provides a linear throttle response when connected to the motor output - unless you require extremely subtle throttle response, which is not usually required especially when you consider that in idle up most people run with a constant 100% throttle, we suggest this method is used (for main motor only). Note that connecting to the existing motor connector does still require the Tx throttle curve to be reduced to achieve linear response.

The tail motor channel can be set to one of several frame rates (250Hz, 125Hz, 83Hz or standard 50Hz), to provide the best response supported by your chosen ESC.

Check out this video of the first test with the converter fitted.

Instructions on how to install and configure are provided here.

Note that installation requires suitable soldering skills & tools to prevent damage to the MCPX main board and ESC. We cannot be held responsible for any damage caused due to insufficient experience or incorrect installation and cannot be held responsible for the correct functioning of your conversion. All the converters are tested before being dispatched.
